On 5th March 2011, me and my church went to Nongkojajar for a Mission Trip. We stayed in an evangelist's house for 2 days and 1 night. On the second day, we went to a small church (it was in a very very small house in the mountainside of Semeru, but, when people gather together to praise God, it's called church already right?). We brought some food and clothes for the people there.
When I got inside the church, I was so shocked because of the people there. The people that went to the church were mostly not Christians. There were many people with different religions like Muslims, Buddhist, Hindus, etc. Some of them also wear their religion's outfit but they still praise God and bring bibles. They were so enthusiastic in praising God, and their faces were happy even though they had many problems that they should face. I was touched by the situation, because I am a Christian, but I can't praise God as enthusiastic as they were that time, and I also know that they have more problems than me, but they could show happy faces and I usually grumble when I have small problems.
So there, we praise and listened to God's words together, some of them also wanted us to pray for them, for their problems, their works, families, etc. There were also a woman who told us about the happiness if we surrender our life to God (i don't think she is a Christian, but she has God in her heart).
That day made me feel blessed like never before. This was the most incredible community service experience for me. I want to learn for them to praise God with all my heart. I also learn that non Christian people can do that, so, we, Christians, must do more. We should tell more about God to other people and show them good examples of Christians.

On November, we had a Community Service activity which is going to an orphanage. We go to the orphanage for the “Santa for Angel” program (we (santa) give presents to the kids (angels)), and we want to do a bit interview to know more about them and also what they like. I went there with all 10 PIB 1 students and also Mr.Rick. We went to Karunia orphanage. The place is very small and not too good, many of their kids are from NTT.
There, we interview the kids one by one. One of the question was why they think they are special? Some kids was confused answering this question. After that, we took their pictures. They look so happy, and I felt happy too, that time I wish the Santa for Angel program will be succeed, so the kids can got happier because of getting our presents.
After visiting the orphanage, we also helped Mr Rick to make the Santa for Angel cards. We also made a list of the things that the kids need or want. From this activity I can learn to share what I have now to another people that need it.

On last December, there was an activity that was held by churches in Surabaya. The activity was Surabaya Sejahtera. Surabaya Sejahtera was an activity that helps the workers that usually clean the sidewalks of Surabaya. So for one day, we will help them to clean the sidewalk. Cita Hati school was one of some schools which joined this activity. The students who was told to join the Surabaya Sejahtera activity were 10 Pre-IB and 11 IB students. Teachers and Parents Association were also joining this activity.
This activity was held at Jalan Gubeng Surabaya. We must gather there at around 5.30 a.m, because if its too afternoon, it would be very hot and there will be more pollution because of many cars passing the road. After all of us gathered there, we started to clean the sidewalk. First we started from Siloam Hospital, we remove the dusts or something dirty there. We also removed the small rocks in the middle of the sidewalk.
Then, after about half an our, there was a truck of water that will help us to clean the sidewalk. There was someone above the truck spraying water to the sidewalk, and then we mop and sweep the sidewalk. Some of us was playing with the water. It was very fun after all! It was a long journey of cleaning and also a tiring morning also. But, for me, it was fun to had a cleaning day like this. Because from this activity, I can help the people who clean the sidewalk even just for one day. I hope that they will be happy and also blessed from this activity.

My commitment for next year being a scholarship student is I will develop my skills in basketball by practicing and practicing, never give up when I haven't achieve something, and by obeying my coach's command. I will also try my best to play well in every match since I was already choosen as a DBL player 2011 to glorify God's name and make my parents and the school proud of me.
I will also develop my ability in playing music especially flute and piano by practicing harder and trying something new (compose new songs, accompanying singers or other music instruments, playing in a band). I will also participate in school activities that is related with music.
Beside basketball and music, I will also improve my academic achievements, since I am a Pre-IB student (will join IB next year), so I will try to get at least 6 on every subjects by study harder and pay more attention in class. I will also maintain my positive behavior like respecting other people and being a good example for my friends.

On 8-10 April 2011, me and my basketball team went to Villa Hortensia to have a basketball camp. There, our activities were practicing, playing against schools and universities at Malang, and also having sessions to make us closer to God and giving our game all for God's glory. On the second day, we were playing against Brawijaya University and St. Albertus Senior High School. The opponent was tough (some of them were DBL All-Stars player who went to Australia). Even though we lost, but the difference between the score was not too far. From the game, I learnt not to give up before the game ends even though the opponents were tougher than us. From the sessions, I learnt that all my skills and abilities come from God, we must develop it and give all my game for God's glory, not for myself.

Beside Basketball and Music, I also participate in Math. The activity that I join for math was the ICAS Math Competition. We were ask to commit to make sure that we really want to join and practice every week. I decided to join but I couldn't join the practice because the practice day was the same with my basketball practice. So, I ask the practice questions to Mr Ranto and do it at home.
On the competition day, I was nervous because I haven't join ICAS before and I was afraid that the questions wouldl be difficult. I prayed to God so I can do it carefully and gave my best to get a good result. I could do the multiple choices well but not the essay.

Even though I couldn't get any medals, but I'm quite happy with my score. I got a Credit and was in top 28% of Year 10 participants in the Region. I hope that I can participate again next year and get a better result.

February 2011 was a month that all Cita Hati students and teachers wait for. It was because on that month, on the 26th, we will have a very big event. The event was a Musical Production titled 'Broken Wings'. This musical production theme was about environment, about a tribe called Aru that respects their nature very much but there's workers trying to destroy their nature.
In this musical production, there were teams participating, like drama, orchestra, dancer, and choir team. This time, I took a part of this musical play by joining the orchestra team. The orchestra contains some types of instruments like keyboards, drum, violin, etc. I was participating as a flute player. The orchestra team were practicing since August 2011 and we're playing about 17 songs overall.
For me, participating in the Broken Wings was a very incredible experience. Even though we must practice almost everyday even in holidays, I enjoyed it because I can improve my flute playing and learn new songs. At first, I taught that we will not finish practicing by February 26th, but I'm so happy that the musical play was done succesfully.
From this activity, I can learn to cooperate well with all of my team member and doing all my best and practice diligently, because what I do will affect all the member of my team. For example, I play the wrong note at a song, it will make the whole song be bad.
This activity was a very good activity because beside it can develop student's talents, it can also encourage other people to respect our nature.

Beside playing basketball, my days are also filled with playing music. I like to listen to songs, especially pop songs, but i prefer to play music instruments than only listening to it.Until now, I can play 2 music instruments, which are piano and flute. I learn piano since I was 4 years old and now I am in Grade 5 Royal (practical) and Grade 6 Royal (theory).
That time, after learning piano until grade 8, i feel that i want to learn a new music instrument. I have two choices that time, either violin or flute. But then, I decided to learn flute, because I love how it sound, and also flute is still a rare instrument in Surabaya. So, starting May 2009, I learn how to play flute from the beginning. The activity that I'd join is playing flute in my church in a small ensemble. From this activity I can learn that serving God can be done in many ways, one of the example is by music :)

DBL 2009 was the first DBL for me. It was a very great experience playing in the DBL competition even though the journey for me to be someone in the team wasn't easy. I wasn't choosen as a team member in the first 3 selection. But I was very grateful that at last I can join the league. In the DBL, my team was in group C with Mutiara Bunda, Petra 4, and one other school. Gratefully, we can defeat the three of them and go to Big 8.
But, in the Big 8 match, we lost in the last four seconds against Santa Maria Junior High School.

For this year, I will try my best to be in the Senior High School DBL Team and try my best also on every match, so we can achieve better from last year (especially because this year is the first opportunity for the senior high school girls team to be directly into the main round), to glorify God's name from our game, and to make the school be proud of us.

The other basketball cup that i have joined this school year was Frateran Cup. This cup was held at GOR Brawijaya. Our first match was against Stella Maris Senior High School. Sadly, we lost directly in the first match. Stella Maris' players was good, because the players are the one who won the DBL 2009. But, from this cup I can learn that eventhough our opponent is good, we shouldn't give up. We must try until the game's over.

One of the activities that I join related to basketball was STAG Cup 4.
This year's match was grouped, one group were consist of 4 schools.
Even though we don't go to the playoff round, but we already do our best to play against one of the best basketball teams in Surabaya, like Sinlui and STAG itself.
But it's not enough,in the next match, I will try my best by practicing harder, so my team and I can do better than this one and make the school proud and especially to glorify God's name.

Before, I also join STAG Cup 3 on January 2010 when I was a Junior High student and got a 3rd place.
