This February I got a new experience, having an opportunity to be in Indonesian Science Project Olympiad (ISPO) 2012 finals with my classmate, Janet. There were few sectors in the competition, like chemistry, physics, biology, computer, environment, and technology. I join the biology sector, with a project titled "Mangrove Jam as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella typhi's anti-bacteria". We do the experiment as a class work on around October, and send the paper to ISPO on December 2011 with the help of Mr Marisi, my biology teacher. On 6th of February, I open the website and found my name at the list of finalist (from around 178 projects, 36 projects were selected to go to the final). The final was held in Jakarta, and it's like a science fair. So we must design our own stand, with posters, etc, and prepare a presentation for the judges.

So, on 22-24 February, we went to Jakarta for the science fair accompanied by Ms Nettie. 22-23 February was the fair and 24th was the winner announcement and closing. Even though we couldn't get any medals, I'm still being thankful for all the experiences. Besides, I also learn something new, met new people, and even visit DPR/MPR building at Jakarta. If next time I get another opportunity to join another competition, I will do better, both in presentation and stand appearance, so that I can achieve a medal and make my parents and school proud.

This year is the first year for Cita Hati to participate in WM (Widya Mandala) Cup. There were few rules in this cup that were unusual, like each of the team must bring more than 10 supporters during the match (counted when the jump ball occurs), if not, 10 points will be deducted from the team. At this Cup, we met SMA Frateran at the first match. The result was, we lost 15-22. But before we left the match, our point was added by 10, because it is said that the opponent's supporters were below 10 during the jump ball. We were happy for some time, but lastly we were informed that we didn't win, because of some complicated reasons. We complained at first, because the rules was not followed properly by the organizer. But at last we decided not to dispute the problem anymore and move on, find another match. From this problem I learn that in any situations we must be patient, and move on, but of course learn from the problem.

Then, few days after the match (and the problem), we received a "Fair Play" award, given by them during the final party.

DBL 2011 was the second DBL for me. Before, I played at DBL 2009 when I was in Junior High School. Year 2011 DBL was even harder than year 2009's since it covers Senior High School. In Senior High, the competitors are increasing and they are all good players. But fortunately, that year we could went directly to the main round. At the main round firstly we competed in the group round, against SMAN 15, SMAN 7, and SMAN 8. We lost a game with SMAN 15 but we won against SMAN 7 and SMAN 8. Since Cita Hati, SMAN 15 and SMAN 7 all won 2 times, point was being counted. With the highest point, Cita Hati made it to Sweet Sixteen. At Sweet Sixteen, we went against SMA Ciputra. Unfortunately, we lost with the score 15-22.

Even though we couldn't made it to further round, I am still happy being on the team and having an opportunity to compete in DBL. Being on the basketball team has taught me a lot of things, like teamwork, diligence, responsibility, time management, and many more. This year, 2012, if I can make it to the DBL team, I will do my best, and of course better than last year, to achieve more, to glorify God's name and make the school proud.

February 2011 was a wonderful moment for all Cita Hati members, because of the implementation of the school's Musical Production, titled "Broken Wings". The show got so many good responses from people, many people suggested the school to make an album for the soundtracks. Then, on April 2011, the recordings started. The recordings was done one by one based on the instrument played. It took place on a recording studio with lot of great tools. I do the recording in the same day with the guitar player, but we play our parts separately. To produce better sound, I used headphones and microphones to hear and produce the music more clearly. This was the first time for me to have a recording in a studio. Although it took a long time, because if I made mistakes, I must repeat the song from the beginning, but I am grateful to be a part of this recording because I can gain a new experience. Few months after the recording, we can already buy the CD and listen to the songs. All the songs are good and well-played. From this recording I learn that to produce a great song, we need to practice well and being responsible by playing our parts nicely during the recording.
